"Corchorus olitorius".

Mulukhiyah, mloukhiya, molokhia, molokhiya, mulukhiyya,
malukhiyah, or moroheiya.
While most scholars are of the opinion that mulukhiya's origins
lie in Africa.
The leaves are rich in betacarotene, iron, calcium, Vitamin C
and more than 32 vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

This vegetable is very popular in Japan Today.

First "Mioga"

First Crop from my Vegetable garden of this summer.

"Shishito" pepper, "Fushimi" pepper,
Japanese grape tomato, and,
"Mioga".

Zingiber mioga in the Zingiberaceae family.
This is a flower buds used in Japanese cuisine
as a garnish for miso soup, sunomono, and
almost everycooking in summer of Japan.

Clary sage is a another congerner of
common sage, 'Salvia officinalis'.

The distilled essential oil is used widely
in perfumes and as a muscatel flavoring
for vermouths, wines, and liqueurs.
